Technically speaking I think the US dollar needs to break out a little more before we can say there's anything going on here. There does appear to be a move-to-safety trend happening in the past few weeks when you look at the weekly chart of USD vs. IRX, for example.

Alex Roslinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05203588321742142651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7025352174566040697.post-46633186984246005002009-09-24T11:01:39.885-04:002009-09-24T11:01:39.885-04:00Any thoughts on the dollar?Any thoughts on the dollar? In Debt We Trusthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05283475872936333396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7025352174566040697.post-36813807929472169352009-09-23T15:16:09.929-04:002009-09-23T15:16:09.929-04:00Hi Joseph,

The main point is that the SPX data still seems far from reversing course and giving a cash or bearish signal, which would take effect only in three weeks. But BKX and crude don't always trade in the same direction, even ifAlex Roslinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05203588321742142651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7025352174566040697.post-59035177861148766672009-09-22T15:27:40.284-04:002009-09-22T15:27:40.284-04:00Hi Alex, the SnP has a great deal of exposure to t...Hi Alex, the SnP has a great deal of exposure to the BKX index and OIL.
